How To Stop Drinking Alcohol Every Night

I’m not into the blame game but have you worked out the psychology of the supermarket last aisle treat aisle! 

Let’s face it, if you saw the alcohol first in the supermarket you wouldn’t buy it! So you can reverse engineer your supermarket shop or avoid that area totally which is easier said than done as they’ve engineered the aisles so you have to pass that area! 

This is your most biggest challenge, so you could imagine all those bottles of wine are fairies and just don’t visit the fairy aisle! 

The other option is to do all your shopping online from a list that doesn’t have alcohol on it? 

Habits are hard to break and supermarkets make it even harder so you’ve gotta try and treat this like a challenge!! 

Everyone drinks and to be honest I think alcohol should be so expensive that it become unaffordable but it’s just affordable to make it an option. Another cleaver tactic from the supermarkets and tax man. 

But let’s be honest if you stopped drinking tonight and started a spreadsheet on your savings you would be shocked! I have a spreadsheet!!! Here it is.. FYI 

P=pub, c=cigarettes, H=Home (wine in the evenings)

Before I show you I am definitely no angel and I never have been but I’ve been working on the psychology of all this shit to get through all the bullshit to help you out seeing as you asked the question, 

I’ve clustered the first 3 months as totals ! 🤦‍♀️ the running total is the last figure so basically 

May, June and July I saved £965

And so far I’m up to £343 

So that’s a saving of £1,308!!! That’s a fucking holiday. 

As you can see from my list I haven’t completely give up alcohol, but I have massively cut it down thanks to the spreadsheet.
