Navigating Narcissistic Relationships: Empowering Strategies to Reclaim Your Life

If you’ve ever dealt with a narcissistic parent, you already know—logic doesn’t apply, drama is guaranteed, and you’re forever cast in the role of either the villain or the hero (usually both in the same hour). I get it, because I’m living it too. Let’s be real—dealing with a narcissistic mother is an Olympic-level sport. But instead of losing your sanity, you can flip the script. Here’s how I turned survival into comedy gold, and how you can too. Step One: The Art of the “Yes Lie” When narcissists make demands, your natural instinct is to argue, to explain, to defend. Don’t waste your breath. My go-to strategy is simple: Say “yes”… then do exactly what you want anyway. Why? Because saying yes keeps the peace. You get your freedom—and bonus points for the secret satisfaction of not giving in. 👉 Real Life Example: This Wednesday, it’s my mum’s birthday. Last week, she sobbed she was “so alone, no ...

How to get rid of distractions

You don’t need distractions in life, they keep you off track and lose you time and focus.

Ignore any texts and calls that don’t serve you, turn your phone on silent and only answer business calls and texts.

If you’re working from home, schedule your day and if anything interrupts from your schedule politely say you’re not available.

Decide that your focus time is 9am until 6pm or whatever your hours are and let those hours be for you to achieve your goals.

Only once you have achieved your goals can you let distractions enter your life as a small reward for achieving the work you had planned.

Distractions or should I say “bad habits” are only because your not focused on your work/exercise/healthy eating/ good friends  which are all “good habits”

Create your “good habit” formula to get away from your distractions “bad habits”

My personal “good habit” formula  is

  1. 1 hour exercise
  2. Shower
  3. Healthy breakfast (No processed food)
  4. 9-6pm work
  5. Healthy supper ( No processed food or alcohol)
  6. Family time
  7. Sleep for 7-8 hours
This is an example of my Monday to Friday routine but obviously changes slightly some times.

Create your own it’s a cool way to discipline yourself

Have fun
