 Big them up, their ego is so big they put others down to big themselves up so switch from being a nice person and taking it and play them at their own game but make them bigger than they think they are, some will get proper confused but it does work.

saying things like 

Oh my god your so amazing at your work

your  shoes are amazing 

wow you look amazing g today 

Give it a few days and they will be someone else's difficulty haha
